Spectators were treated to a bonanza of exceptional bowls over last weekend.
The finals of the deferred Mixed Triples Championship was played between Moochie skipping Essie and Debbie against Phil skipping John D. and Petal.
With the score 5-nil to Moochie they were off to a good start on th 3rd end.That no.5 stuck with them for the next 5 en
ds. Score 10-5 to Phil's team. Moochie's team struggled from then on and the match finished on the 17th end Congratulations to Phil,John and Petal. final score 17-9, with them winning 11 ends.
The final of the Mixed Pairs was decided between Bobby and Kitha playing Marg.O.and Jack. Even though Marg and Jack scored only 1 for the first 8 ends they did try to get back into the game with Jack doing some good draw bowls but Bobby and Kitha won 11 of the 17 ends played so congratulations to both of them with the final score 16-9.
Annie and Lizzie played their Semifinal of the Ladies Major Singles.
Annie had a strong lead on the 13th end 15-4. Lizzie was not fazed and was only 2 shots behind on the 21st end 17-15.That 15 stuck with her for the next 5 ends so Annie was able to take the game on the 28th end 25-16.
Annie will now play Debbie for the Title at 12 noon tomorrow { Sunday}. This will be an exceptional game to watch.

Gavin won from Steve 25-13 on the 20th end.
Kerry won from Barry 27-17 on the 27th end.
Neil won from Jack 27-24 on the 31st end. What a match!!!! The score card read like this.......... 9th end 7 all.By the 21 st end Jack had the game 20-13. Jack hung on that 20 for 5 ends. 26th end 24-20 to Neil.Back came Jack, 30th end 24 all.Jack's last bowl gave him 2. Down came Neil's last bowl hitting the kitty which bounced around and there was Neil holding 3. Final score 27-24. Did you take a lotto ticket Neil?
The quarter finals are as follows...........Neil plays Dave, Kerry plays Gavin, Mick plays Phil.
Moochie and Tim have played their game.On the 13th end Tim was well ahead with the score 15-4. 15 stayed with Tim for 5 ends so Moochie caught up and the score was 17 all on the 21st end.Unfortunately Tim did not score again so game over on the 25 end 25-17 .
Joyce, Jackie and Marg. B. lost their game of social triples to Terry,Wes and Plute 18-22. last Sat.
The social triples on Wed. was a close game between Marg.O skipping Wendy and Nancy and Kitha skipping Ann and Jackie. Final score 18-17 to Kitha's team.
The other triples was won by Carole skipping Di and Debbie who also played lead for the opposing team of Plute and Joyce. Final score 19-15.
